Stage one will take place this year with design, gathering community thoughts and business case development. The urban design will be completed along with detailed design plans of the two building sites.
Stage two is the delivery stage which is expected to start in 2021. This will include the development of the Integrated Business Facility on the burnt-out buildings site and the relocation of the i-Site and development of the Tourism Centre.
These projects will run parallel with Te Wairoa E Whanake as part of the original vision but fall outside the Te Wairoa E Whanake PGF funding.
